Practice Makes Perfect

Practice is 'Key to Success'

Practice is the most important thing a pupil can do in order to improve their dancing and reach their goals.

If you only dance for an hour or two a week in class, then you will find that your dancing does not improve very quickly. The more you practice outside of lesson on your own dance's, as well as working on fitness and flexibility, you will find you will get more out of the time spent in class with your teacher. Instead of your teacher having to remind your of steps you can concentrate on improving your performance etc.

Remember, your mental attitude is just as important in dancing as your legs and feet. To be successful you must be confident, so tell yourself you are confident and hold yourself as though you are too...
Head back and up, Shoulders back and body held straight and strong.

Do not hesitate on your steps as this will make you look less confident. Try to make every move assertive therefore if you do make a mistake (which you shouldn't) it may not be noticed.

Finally, make sure you smile. Dancing is your hobby, something you enjoy and want to do, so you might as well smile. It may also help make your dancing your energetic.

Last but definitely not least....
                                 Make sure you have FUN!
